Architecture
Unlike other AMR/AMI solutions provided by other companies, the uniqueness of our system lies in the architecture. Normally with other AMR methods the dependency on hardware like handheld devices, drive by systems or PLCC (power line carrier communication) for communication/data transfer is high. Any failure of any of the hardware components will lead to the down fall of the whole system.
But the architecture followed by SENSTRA AMI is very simple and straight forward
The communication /data transfer from the Meters to the Server is one –to – one. That means no dependency on any other hardware devices.
This is done with inbuilt preconfigured communication devices in the meter. Any failures in the communication will affect only the particular meter. Not the whole system
This uniqueness brings in the following advantages
- Monitoring of individual consumers becomes more efficient
- Effective tampering detection
- Improved efficiency and lesser system down time
