SENSTRA AMI Power Management system provides an integrated solution to manage power and provides customers with more control and added benefits. Due to various automation techniques used, the entire system optimizes the management of power supply chain, hence increasing the effective revenue while providing great benefits to the consumer .
The System consists of a set of SENSTRA AMI Meters, SENSTRA AMI Units and SENSTRA AMI Servers and this covers the entire system.
SENSTRA AMI meters are devices that measure power consumption. SENSTRA AMI servers are machines that act as gateways for data collection from SENSTRA AMI devices and meters.

- Convertible post paid/ pre paid meters- no need to replace the meter.
Auto Meter Data Acquisition:
- Self registration- Once the meters are installed, the meter automatically registers with the server and a unique ID is created for the consumer.
- Preconfigured data transmission. At preconfigured time, data is automatically transmitted to the server without any manual intervention
- Records readings based on server-defined policies (Time of Use, Differential slab rates).
- Integrated cut-off module to enforce load restriction, remote switch off in the event of non payment, consumer request for power switch off.
- Scheduled and on-demand data availability. 6 zone TOU KWh, KVAH, provided
- Internal real time clock with battery back up which self adjusts to server timing.
- Measures and reports active, reactive and Apparent Energy.
- Phase wise frequency measurement and reporting.
Remote Diagnosis and Reporting
Tamper and fraud detection and reporting including
- Load reversal and phase sequence reversal.
- Phase missing.
- Abnormal voltage.
- External Magnetic tamper.
- Meter bye-pass/ removal of meter.
